Faces of Vintage Toys: Pt. 3 He Man and the Masters of the Universe Wave 1

   The 1980's was a time that Regan was president, Pac Man ruled the arcades, Rubix cubes were everywhere and movies like the Ghost Busters ruled the movie screens.  It was also a time that a lot on influential toy lines were released in toy stores.  For instance in 1982, Mattel came out with the action figure line called He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.  It was a toy line that included larger than life action figures such as He-Man and Skeletor, plus had a successful cartoon series by Filmation.  In this post, I will include face collages of the first wave.  The intention of this wave is to get people to remember the nostalgic times of He-man.  Yes ladies and gentlemen, this blog posting definitely has the Power.  Enjoy.



Photo Story: Legend of the Inspiration Sphere

For this blog posting I decided to tell stories dealing with inspiration.  The first story deals with a mirror ball that I purchased at Five Below.  I thought it had a unique story to it so I decided to tell a story that goes with it. 

Legend of the Inspiration Sphere

This is a sphere of inspiration.  It can make artists think of new and interesting ideas.  It sparkles every time an idea is discovered or when a vision has been achieved.  In the good times and the bad, this sphere will never lose its inspirational luster.  When you are ever feeling uninspired, then you look at the sphere of inspiration for new ideas.  Inspiration is like silver and it will never tarnish.  The same will always be true for inspiration.

Welcome to the first blog posting of the Faces of Vintage Toys Collage Project.  In the first episode I will present collages of the Heroes and Villains of the 1980's action figure line called the Super Powers collections.  I decided to use the first founding members of the Justice League of America because that is the roster that debuted in Brave and the Bold# 28 (Mar. 1960).  I put in two well known villains because they very recognizable.  This project is dedicated to those who were born during a time in which Saturday morning cartoons and 80's toy lines reigned supreme.  So sit back relax and enjoy this inspirational nostalgia sojourn.  New blog postings every Wednesday.  Coming soon more Super Powers Collection face collages, Masters of the Universe, Thudercats, World's Greatest Superheroes, GI Joe and you never know as the possibilities of inspiration and creative are truly endless.

The Curator's Musuem Chapter 11: The Curator

As we come to the second to last chapter of the Curator series, we are introduced to Gerard Samuel himself.  This is his tale.

Chapter 11:  The Curator

He is the one that can make every one's dreams come true.  he can make a man rich in his own mind and makes ladies forever exquisite.  He freezes people in time by merely casting a spell on them and slowing down time.  He is a lover of all things exquisite.  He is a seducer and a lover.  His silver mask personifies the endless and exquisiteness of the time and space continuum.  He keeps people frozen in the moment of their grandest desires.  He is a master of disguise and he is not afraid to conceal his identity.  He goes by a distinct name of Gerard Samuel.  He is the man known as the Curator and this is his story.

     His story started long ago.  In youth, he has been fascinated by the exquisiteness of time and space and made it his mission to keep people frozen as living statues in his ever expanding museum located in the realm of Equidistant Time.  When he whispers the word exquisite in a ladies ear, time gradually begins to slow down and when it resumes, they are frozen in the moment of absolute exquisiteness.  " I am the Curator and your dreams are mine to freeze in time".

This photo story is set within the same universe as the Black Widow Princess but it deals with a good princess with a mixture of contemporary TV shows.

Princess in Waiting

This is a story about a princess named Daphne Du pres.  She loves roses and finding a prince that will sweep her off her feet.  Many princes have tried to charm this lady and she has many potential suitors numbers.  Plus she is an excellent dancer.  But for now, this princess has chosen to keep things all business and plans to run the kingdom of Olympia to the fullest.  Every waking night, she waits for a prince to undo her loneliness.  For now she is the Princess in Waiting.
